Upon entering the kitchen at Entree Vous in Huntersville, I was warmed over by the smell of fresh baked Chocolate Chip cookies and something called a Good Morning Hash brown Frittata. Immediately I made a beeline for the samples area for a cup of what I can only describe as divine comfort food. Steaming hash brown potatoes, crisp bacon, and creamy egg and cheddar cheese melted throughout this bite was simple and warming, like mom used to make, only better. Green onions dot this casserole that I am eating and I am struck by the freshness of ingredients along with the decadent, but also light, flavor and texture of a casserole I not only sampled there, but insisted on taking home to my husband - who enjoyed it more than any breakfast casserole I could ever conjure. With menu items like Citrus Soy Grilled Chicken, Chimichurri Flank Steak and Fusion Beef Kebabs on their monthly menu, how could I not jump at the chance to fill my freezer? With no minimums or packages to buy, this affordable choice made me feel in control of not only my freezer, but my wallet. In a time of economic crisis who would think this option would be the best for me? But after listening to the helpful staff compare their prices to that of the price of gas, ingredients and lost time in the home preparation process, I am now assured this is not only the best option, but the only option for a busy, working family like my own. I left Entree Vous not only with a feeling of certainty that this place would become my best friend and sole meal provider but also with a week's worth of entrees to take home and a plan to return next week for more.
