Used to LOVE the cakes fromhere, tasted great, pretty. Then I ordered my mothers wedding shower cake in white with pink roses, nothing complicated. The entire cake was dotted with blue dye when I picked it up. As the shower was that day had no choice but to take the cake. As we cut and served the cake we saw the entire bottom of the cake had the same blue dye streaked through it. Her white cake was blue striped on the bottom. Didn't really affect the taste I guess, but it looked awful. Apparently the coloring was spilled while making the cake and they didn't think anyone would notice ( or care about) the bottom (and therefore the middle) of the cake being blue. When I called the owner on Monday to complain I was given the chance to come in to their shop across town to get 6 free cupcakes for my trouble. WOW!! The manager was the first person I complained to and she did not believe me that my white cake was blue, fortunately I had taken pictures because it was so odd. When I showed them to her she had no response, no appology, no nothing! She told me I could call the manager at the other shop (across town) but didn't really care about my problem. Had no explanation for the discoloration.
Pros: Usually good cake
Cons: poor customer service, lack of pride in final product
