My husband and I recently ate here for our anniversary and also walked around to tour the hotel after dinner. I was expecting the typical higher dollar restaurant experience but was pleasantly surprised. I thought Capitol Grille felt like a smaller dining room yet still polished and elegant. Our server was very attentive and professional. I had the onion bisque for the first course and it was likely the best soup I've ever had. I had the pork chops for the main course and they were also good but somewhat tough. I enjoyed the best dessert I've ever had my entire life - the coconut cake. It was exceptional and different than any other. I agree with another reviewer who stated they'd like to take the pastry chef home to live with them. Overall great food, great service, and an interesting place to go if you want to try something different for a special occasion.
