This is reference to the Car Audio and over-all managment.\r I brought my brand new 2011 Jag XF SC in to have a Passport 9500ci installed. The installer was unfamliar with my car and wouldn't commit to a location. He was to *call me* after opening things up so that I could review and decide my options. No phone calls and he put the controller where he wanted - which was not where we had discussed as a possible option.\r They agreed to move it to a new location at my insistence. Again without any communication; the installer put it where he wanted to instead of the explicit location that I had discussed with him earlier. I then found that he damaged the burled wood in my console as well as the console itself. The dash next to the glove box was also damaged. They left me to find that out on my own instead of being honest about it. I pointed this out to the manager before I left for home and he was going to speak to the owner. The next day a phone call: turns out they were not going to take responsibility for the damage - saying it was *my fault* that the installer damaged my car because he had to fix his mistake!! \r How messed up is that? Luckily, Gieco is covering the damage - to the tune of almost $1500 and will be going after HiFi Buys (yay for subrogation). They pretend to be high-end, but just because you sell nicer merchandise doesnt make you high-end. Bottom-line: if you walk through their doors, plan on dealing with ownership only interested making a buck and that will happily screw you over to do it. Do yourself a favor: STAY AWAY.
