My family and I just recently moved here from Council Bluffs Iowa. My daughter went from being a Horner student to straight Fs. The schools there were tough but fair. It was a small but diverse community that loved their neighbors. When we went to register my daughter in the school here the first person I spoke to was the councilor. This man has some serious ego issues is very short with people. He begins with this story of some young girl that was a Horner student until she attended there. He goes on to say he warned her that his school was like no other and the classes there were very very hard. Mind you, He's giving this speech in front of my child who is almost in tears. I had enough and asked, ""Will you let us know if our child is having problems with her classes if she were failing. He said, ?That's my job?. There was a problem with her transfer papers and the teachers here had nothing to go by. Other than the fact she was very very shy and didn't like to raise her hand. So they graded her pretty much on that. I forgot to mention that he said she had an attitude problem. So I asked him to give a brief description of my daughter. You know what he gave? Her best friend down the street. Please be careful when you pick schools for your kids. I have clearly made a terrible mistake.
