Review content:
I had been to Jasmine several times before, and had an ok experience. The food is not authentic Chinese at all, which was disappointing. However, the service is attentive and our waiter was friendly. But, the last time I ate at Jasmine, I had a horrible experience. Our tea cups were dusty, stained, and unacceptable. Also, my friend found lipstick stains on the outside of her glass. It was like they didn't even wash the glasses! We had to ask our waiter to bring new glasses and cups that were clean. It was pretty disgusting and really almost ruined our appetite. Then, when we started eating our appetizer, the paper wrapped chicken, we noticed that the chicken smelled negatively pungent and the inside of the item was still pink, as if it hadn't been cooked thoroughly. This was a huge concern for me because my wife is pregnant and we cannot risk eating undercooked or bad chicken. We complained to the waiter and ordered some vegetarian dishes instead. After this experience, I have decided not to go to Jasmine again. I am worried that there are sanitary problems within the restaurant and inadequate preparation of food.
Pros: relatively inexpensive
Cons: not authentic Chinese, undercooked food, dirty glasses
