Review content:
Working on a very tight deadline, I checked websites and then called TRS to confirm my items were in stock. When I arrived at the store, however, I was told that the price would be nearly DOUBLE what was advertised on the website. When I explained that I had checked the site that morning, I was told those prices were six years old and didn't apply.
As I contemplated whether or not to buy, the owner called from his desk if I wanted anything. I explained that I had taken two hours to drive to his store because of the advertised pricing, but now I'd heard it was nearly double what I'd budgeted from the website. He shrugged and said that the website prices weren't accurate. ""But $42 is a good price,"" he said, ""so you can go ahead and get it anyway."" He never apologized or expressed concern; he never even got up from slouching in his chair.
As a small business owner myself I know that mistakes can happen, and I would have been happy with, ""Oh, I'm sorry our error inconvenienced you."" But everyone in the store knew the website was wrong, freely admitted that they had basically lied to get me into their store, and never even mumbled a ""sorry.""
I went back to my car and searched anew on my phone. Atlas Restaurant Supply (North Shadeland Ave) sold me the identical item for $28.
Pros: lots of selection, used items in rear
Cons: admitted false advertising total indifference to customers
