Review content:
Singha has been in Lake Grove for years, it is well established and no wonder it remains a local favorite! We had a very nice, intimate, quiet and relaxing dinner on a Saturday night, recently. The food was excellent and always is. The restaurant was not and never is very crowded, which is a huge surprise since Lake Grove has so few restaurants. (Most people get take out from here) But we loved the privacy and 1:1 personalized service. We've been there when it was much busier and it wasn't any different (service remained great). I love Thai food and Singha makes some of the best Thai dishes around. They have many ""uniquie"" dishes that 'chain-type' Thai restaurants don't have. We ordered a Yum Yum Beef salad to start, the flavors were perfect, I could have just ordered that for my entree. We also in the past tried their salad, spring rolls and Som Tum (papaya salad), all excellent and not heavy. For entress we've tried many of them, including their specials. (I have never had one that was average, so I feel confident ALL of their entress are incredibly tasty!) Their food is a delight and I would eat here once a week, but my husband is more of a meat and potatoes man. Fortunally, he loves Singha. For some constructive criticism, I would encourage a cosmetic remodel, making it more 2008 (rather than 1990s decor). I have been going there since then, and the place is remarkably clean, but could use a little remodel (hip paint colors, lighting, linens) to get new patrons. Also, savvy advertising would help. They honestly have a niche in that they offer some unique (traditional Thai) dishes that few ""Americanised"" restaurants would attempt to offer. We really want Singha to remain in Lake Grove, it's adorable and food is perfect!! Pros: superb Thai cuisine, service, cleanliness Cons: small parking lot, lighting/paint colors
