I'm 52. I decided that after being diagnosed with shingles and hypertension, I wanted to take personal charge of my wellness and to do that, I wanted to partner with a doctor that was exceptionally well educated in western medicine as an internist, but who also excels in functional and integrative medicine. I found that partner in Dr. Sachdev.\r

My original doctor at OHSU wanted to prescribe a Statin medicine for cholesterol reduction. He also wanted to put me on bloodpressure medication. I didn't want to take any medicine that was likely to damage my liver or negatively impact my health so I ruled out all products from Big Pharma. I wanted to implement an intelligent, logical, healthy approach to solving the cholesterol and bloodpressure issues, as well as improving my overall wellness.\r

At Dr Naina's direction, we started by analyzing my hormone levels and then supplementing with bioidential hormones as necessary to put my body in proper balance so that it could heal itself and function efficiently. We implemented some minor dietary changes, and a regular exercise program.\r

It has been about a year since we started. My bloodpressure, cholesterol and triglceride levels are completely normal now. My body fat has been reduced by 8% and is still dropping. My lean muscle mass has increased about 6% and is still climbing. My cholesterol has come down by about 100 points, WITH NO TOXIC MEDICINES! Dr Sachdev is a brilliant diagnostician with a knack for understanding the whole person. She utilizes numerous methods and strategies, personalized for each patient. It doesn't get any better than this! Great doctors are hard to find. This is a great doctor, and she cares!

Cons: Like any doctors office, there are occasional delays in the waiting room. I found it worth the wait
