Overpriced and disappointing.\r

I'm typically pretty easy-going about service, food, etc. but we spent $160 and basically left disappointed.\r

My husband and I recently had dinner at Hall Street to celebrate our anniversary. The atmosphere is pretty intimate even with people all around you.\r

Staff seemed tense, which was kind of weird.\r

The waitperson didn't mention specials, soup of the day and wasn't very familiar with the menu, food or wines.\r

They completely forgot to deliver our appetizers. \r
\r
There were very long delays on refilling our beverages which doesn't typically happen in even the most basic restaurants.\r

Our food arrived cold. My entree (fish) was a poor combination of flavors and overcooked while my husband's entree (scallops) tasted bland and was seriously undercooked.. Their glasses of water had a chlorine aftertaste. \r

The staff rarely checked on us; granted, the restaurant was busy but is that really an excuse?\r

I've had much better meals at much lower prices. \r

It's a shame. I had high hopes.
