Review content:
i have 5 children, at the time of this writing, and 2 of them are autistic. i have seen 4 different pediatric dentists as we have moved frequently for my husband's job. After all my experience with these dentists, i wish we could take Dr. Owens with us when we need to move again. He understands that kids get cavities, sometimes irregardless of faithful care, and doesn't shame a parent when those cavities appear. He takes my questions seriously and doesn't make me feel stupid for asking. Dr. Owens's facility also has begun working with an anesthesiologist so that children with high anxiety levels, or behavioral impairment, can be treated in his office rather than in a hospital. This substantially reduces the fuss, the price and the anxiety levels to treat cavities for families that are already stretched within their resources, without sacrificing quality work on a child's mouth. We used this service on our younger, lower-functioning autistic child. Dr. Owens's office staff was respectful and sensitive to our tight financial situation and allowed us a payment arrangement without embarrassing us, and were considerate enough to warn us of the anesthesiologist fees, outside of their control, well ahead of time so we could be prepared for them. We are very pleased with Dr. Owens and his team, and highly recommend them.
