I had a horrible experience at this place and was unfortunate enough to dine here two days in a row. Day two was much worse than the first.
The occasion was a friend's wedding. The rehearsal dinner and reception were held at Vinoklet, a winery with a grill-your-own-food dinner menu.
Choose from a NY Strip, fish of the day, or chicken. Unimpressive side dishes are presented on a buffet.
On the night of the rehearsal the owner told us how long to cook the steaks for medium rare, medium, and ""if you want to ruin your steak by cooking it above medium, cook it x minutes per side."" That was kind of rude but I happen to agree with her that above medium is ruined. I cooked my steak to my liking and it was fine, but I'd much rather have my food cooked for me while I enjoy conversation with friends.
On the wedding day our reception menu was the same as the night before. I had another NY Strip steak, but this time it was cooked by the staff. They cooked the hell out of these steaks in advance and then kept them warm in buffet trays above sterno candles. It was above well done and completely inedible. A dog would have turned down this steak.
On to the wine.. it is horrible. Disgusting.... and I have a theory as to why. The winery is across the street from a LANDFILL! Look at the satellite view and see for yourself. goo.gl/WrqwH
