as a student at USC, I have to often leave the area surrounding campus for good food. Luckily, I found Happa! ""plate Lunches"" are a great deal (they're just not in styrofoam like in Hawai'i) but the real winners are the Tuna Poke and Won Ton Saimin. The owner (super friendly guy) makes his own dashi (or soup in Japanese) for this awesome noodle dish. Super filling and a good deal. They also have Sashimi, all kinds of Fish (changes every day as their specials do) prepared in a homecooked Japanese style, as well as other Japanese and Hawaiian Comfort food. Oh and they have a full service bar too! Definitely give it a shot! comfortable atmosphere (hell I go in shorts and slippers) but above all, a GREAT dining experience.
Pros: AWESOME FOOD, Fast seating, great service
Cons: nothing!
