So I attended a friend's birth recently and Dr breedlove was the ob on call. She said some pretty stupid things..."" it makes me sad to see you suffering without an epidural"" ""most women can't endure labor without drugs""...and ""an epidural will speed up labor"" ""epidurals don't pass to the baby"" ""women tear if they don't have an epidural"".. All of those statesments are NOT true and she knew it. The birth ended in a c-section after the epidural stalled labor dead in it's tracks... Informed consent was not the priority, and her statements bordered unprofessional.
