Review content:
I first went to Sit Still Salon about six months ago, after moving out here from the east coast. I was given an appointment the day I called with Traci, and I count my lucky stars every time I look at my hair! \r
I'm not very imaginative when it comes to hair or makeup, and really need professionals to help me figure out what to do. Traci is amazingly skilled at listening to what I like (which I'm not always able to express very clearly), figuring out what fits my lifestyle, and then making suggestions that result in a beautiful style that's versatile and easy to maintain. I developed a problem with split ends a few months after moving out here (it's much less humid than where I used to live) and I decided that I needed to air-dry my wavy hair most of the time, instead of blowing it straight. I can still blow-dry my hair straight and look polished when i want to, but it also looks fabulous just air-dryed and natural (which is how I usually wear it now). My dear husband, who usually hates any kind of change, has loved every haircut I've gotten from Traci (and that's saying a lot, because until I moved out here I'd been seeing a hairdresser who's a friend of my ours). After my most recent cut, my husband said (and I quote) ""You're hair is really perfect - I don't think it's even possible to have a better cut"". Wow! I've also been able to keep growing out my hair, which used to start looking lank and drab a few inches shorter than it is now. As far as the salon itself goes, it'is funky and comfortable and everyone I've met there has been very friendly and down-to-earth. I also love the ""Celtic Cream"" and the Hairaholic shine spray (each of which I think you can only get at the salon). On my most recent trip, Traci also gave me a deep conditioning treatment that made my hair feel as soft as it did when I was a child - yea! All in all a fabulous place.
Pros: Friendly, down-to-earth, great haircuts
