I'll be honest, I often dread going to a hair salon to get my hair cut and/or colored. As varied as my requests for cuts have been over the years I still manage to get the same ""safe"" hair cut. Bringing in pictures doesn't usually help either. Coming into SIT STILL brought that same kind of apprehension about spending $ on a haircut that i'm bound to feel sub par about. The hair stylist I happen to get was Mel--this cute and warm welcoming german woman evoked a wave of calmness over me as she smiled and offered a beverage. With no picture with me I proceeded to explain the cut and color I wanted. She understood right away and when she was finished I was astonished at how awesome my hair cut and color was. The next day I decided that as much as i loved my cut I should have requested to cut more b/c my hair grows so fast. I made an appointment and Mel was completely understanding and didn't charge me! SIT STILL and Mel just got a regular customer.
Pros: Fun funky place, great relaxed vibe, no pressure at all to buy their products
