Review content:
I am actually hesitant to write this review about Crave, because I don't want too many people to know about this absolutely superb little gem of a restaurant....it'll be too hard to get a reservation next time we want to go!\r \r This is the first time I've posted a restaurant review, but I had to offer my public praise of this place. We went there for the first time on Friday, and took friends who were visiting from Dublin. We got the 7 course tasting menu. My, oh my. Each course dazzled us. We particularly loved the corn soup with the sweet pea foam and the wasabi shumai. Marco, the owner, who served us that evening, has a terrific sense of humor and superb knowledge of wine. \r \r Having lived here for 10 years, my husband and I know the NYC restaurant scene fairly well. And this restaurant surpasses all our prior favorites. We've eaten at Daniel a few times, and the food here was comparable, the wines wowed us even more, the prices were far more reasonable, and, best of all, Crave has an extremely relaxed and neighborly atmosphere with zero pretense.\r \r We can't wait to go back....again, and again, and again! Pros: relaxed atmsphere, inventive menu, friendly professional service
