Review content:
Unless you are a very large company with a large accounting and IT department, stay as far away from both CBS and Xerox as possible.
We signed up for the Xerox Work Center 5775. The machine is mechanically problematic, but I think that is to be expected in a high capacity machine. The real problem is the software. From the start we have experienced network problems. In an attempt to accommodate the machine we upgraded our network to Windows 7. Problems still remain and about every two months we have conflict errors with the Microsoft updates. The IT Department at CBS denies there is problem and invoices for technical support claiming it has something to do with our network.
The financing we have through Xerox requires two months advance payment so that you are paying a late fee pretty much from the date you receive the invoice. Ask a lot of questions about this issue if you are financing or leasing. Locally, you will find that CBS will not service if you are past 30 days on the invoice, which is due on receipt. We recently ran into this issue where we needed service, but they refused because of a $77.00 dollar outstanding invoice for copies over the minimum.
Both CBS and Xerox are not companies with whom you want to deal unless you are major entity. They do not seem equipped to handle small to medium sized businesses.
My final recommendation is to look elsewhere.
