Review content:
This was one of three restaurants my wife and I went to during 5280. We've been to the Melting Pot before, but we wanted to go again (who wouldn't) to check out their 5280 menu. \r
\r
I expected a watered down version of a real menu (see Elways review) but I was pleasantly suprised to see all four courses! Cheese was the right size, salads, entree and chocolate! Nothing was skimped!\r
\r
Let me slow down for a moment and explain why the Melting Pot is so successful. We all know the building is immaculate, but the service is what stands out. I asked our server what kind of training goes into becoming a Melting Pot server and he said it's an ongoing training process that takes several weeks. I asked him what he thought of it and he had nothing but positive things to say about it and the management. \r
\r
From the moment we sat down we were treated like old friends. They knew my first name (and called me by it!) and gave us a wonderful explanation of the 5280 menu. It was as if they didn't mind us cheaper folks coming in for a special-and that's what makes the Melting Pot special! \r
\r
The swiss was very good. Caesers with the little sugar nuts are always are favorite. Chocolate smores...yeah, gimme some of that!\r
\r
Martinis are a bit pricey, but I'll take it for the ambiance and service. \r
\r
Great job, Melting Pot. Please keep it up!
Pros: Service, Service, Service!
Cons: None!
