Ender at SFtutors was my math tutor for the math portion of the SAT reasoning test this year. As opposed to other SAT preparation programs which just repeated give you timed tests to practice with, Ender broke down the math section into pieces according to my personal needs in a 7 week process.
Given that everyone has different academic strengths and weaknesses, a generic SAT class is sometimes not helpful in aiding what certain students need help with. However, at SFtutors, I was in a class with 6 students which made it easy to focus on each one of us individually. The class provided us with a binder full of useful SAT tips, vocabulary words, practice exams, and worksheets from various SAT prep books. On top of this, both tutors, Lauren and Ender, were very approachable and understanding. Each of them made sure that we understood what was going on in the class, and worked with us separately if we were confused.
Overall SFtutors was a great investment. Although the work they gave us was strenuous at times, the class was very effective in familiarizing me with the structure of the SAT. I would even say that I had a good time while I was there. I would recommend it to any student in search of a SAT class that isn't going to overload you with practice tests and will raise your score.
In the end, I ended up getting a 720 on the math portion, which is a great improvement. Thanks Ender!
