I gave them a check in early August to do the carving on my mothers mausoleum and it still hasn't been done. At the time I was told it would take no more that 30 days. I live 200 miles away and drove to Pittsburgh on 10/4 to check it out only to find it wasn't done. I spoke to a gentleman who worked there and he assuered me he'd check on it first thing Monday and get back to me. He never did and waited 2 plus weeks and called. he said he assigned it to the person I first worked with and thought she would have contacted me. I told him she had not. He grabbed the file and said it may be done and he'd run outside and check. he called back a half hour later and asked if my mother was in the cript. I said no, but what does that have to do with it. he said nothing. I said she passed away in April and I have her ashes, but don't want to put them in until the carving is done. that conversation was on 10/22 - one week ago and I've still not heard a thing. he said they like to do outdoor work when they can and save the stuff they can do inside for when the weather is bad. I said they didn't waste any time to cash my check and I was never informed of any of this when I signed the contract. I told him I was not at all happy and there it feels bad when there isn't a thing you can do about it. When you lose someone you have to prepare yourself for that moment you see their name carved on a grave. Now I have to get preprared all over again. i'll be back in Pittsburgh for All Souls day and wonder if the marking will be done by then! I guess I shouldn't hold my breath. They have lots of excuses at Calvary. Pros: Catholic Cemetary Cons: timely efforts of staff
