My wife and I were satisfied with the job performed by Plumbing Service Company, but have serious issues with the calculation of our bill. The entire job consisted of fixing a running toilet by replacing the flapper/etc. The plumber was at our house for less than an hour as you might have expected, so we sere surprised to receive a bill for 1.5 hours of labor. The bill was $135 labor plus a healthy $32 for the parts. Upon calling, we were informed that it's standard practice for them to start the clock when leaving their previous job. I think it's fine if you want to charge a service fee, but then you would have to disclose that upfront. It's just sneaky. You will be paying $90 an hour for your plumber's commute time, so it might be smart to find out where he's coming from.
