Review content:
Wayne's is the best in South Eastern CT. I grew up in North Jersey and every two weeks my father would bring me to his old fashioned barbershop, where the men would sit and talk about their women and their woes. It was the sort of place your grandfather used to frequent. Well I've spent the last three years that I've been stationed here (Sub base) looking for a shop with a military eye for detail and a bit of that old nostalgia. There are plenty of franchise places that will leave a nasty transition line in your fade, and if you're in the military, you know you can get 90 seconds or less worth of attention at the ""factory"" place in the NEX. Wayne's is certainly a modern take on that old barber shop setting but he and his crew are the most detail oriented barbers you can fine within an hour's drive. The price is less than what you would pay at an overpriced franchise, and the perfection you'll get is unmatched. Wayne's crew of professionals take pride in their work and they have fun while they do it. I wish I had found this place years ago.
BTW, bring cash or suffer the ATM fee, and avoid the evening rush. I've waited over two hours with as many as twenty people or more in front of me.
