October 2 2010 My wife and I celebrated our wedding day. We looked so forward to eat at Strings after recommendations and after looking online at the menu it looked very nice. We arrive and I was reading the menu, but it is not the same as the one online:( I wanted to eat the Wild King Salmon Mushroom & Haricots Verts Succotash, Potatoes, Chervil, Corn Puree But it was not on the menu:( The waiter told me that I could get the salmon and choose vegetables since they just changed the menu. I asked what the word on the new salmon dish meant. And he told me it is a slow cooked long process with water and spinach. For starter I had the Ahi Tuna Tartare. Very Good but too much finger marks on the glass stone:( The King Salmon come and under it was suddenly a mashed potato square! Big surprise, since it did not tell me anything about mashed potatoes in the menu? And it was burned:( The haricots verts did not have the ends cutted off: ( This is basic cooking skills and for a kinda upscale restaurant should have cut the ends off! I even had to pay 10 dollars for the haricots verts! My daughters seafood dish did not came with chorizo as described in the meny. The dishes could be more nice with better representation. This evening was a disaster!
