We used Das Meyer for our wedding cake because they came so highly recommended. We went to the cake tasting, and the cake tasted great, so we ordered ours that day. The morning before our wedding, we received a call from our florist, that was dropping off the flowers to Das Meyer to decorate our cake, that Das Meyer had no idea our cake was to be decorated with flowers. We had discussed this with the salesperson, and putting flowers on the cake was on our original receipt! Das Meyer insisted that they were not putting the flowers on our cake, so I called our florist, and begged her to decorate the cake for me. She agreed, so all went well, however, Das Meyer did not honor their agreement with us. The florist also said that Dennis (the owner) was very rude and arrogant when delivering the cake. We had been warned of his arrogance, but didn't believe it until we experienced it first hand. Upon returning from our honeymoon, we called Das Meyer to discuss our frustration with the service we received, and to get our money back that we had paid for the flower decorating, but Dennis was again rude and obstinate and would not do anything to help us. I will never use this bakery ever again, and will warn all my friends not to do so as well! And a word of advice to brides...don't worry about the cake too much - no one eats it anyway - 2 whole tiers of our cake were thrown out!
