I desparately needed to get my hair cut and when I called the Aveda salon I had been going to, my stylist and colorist had left. That was not the first time that happened to me so I hung up and started looking for a new place to go. In searching salons in my area on citysearch, I saw a link for Hotmess along with a list of glowing reviews. I decided to make an appointment right away; I'm glad I did. The salon has a great ambience. It's warm and inviting and the staff was friendly and attentive. Missy was my stylist and she was great. She took the time to look through pictures with me and talk to me to make sure she knew what I wanted. I was going for a pretty drastic change, which can be scary if you've never previously worked with the person, especially when you have naturally curly hair like I do but want a versatile style. I took a risk though and was thrilled with the results. As a testament to the products they use too, I am pleased to say that after having my color done, none of it even washed out in my first shampoos at home - a first for me. I also appreciated having the same person do my cut and color which has not been the case at most of the places I've been before. While I do think this salon is pricier than others in its class, they did offer coupons for my next visit :) Either way, I've had nothing but compliments since I went and will definitely go back.
