Personally, I am tired of seeing ""Cash Only"" signs posted next to a private-owned, high service fee ATM machine in restaurants. For me, it's a bad start to a hopefully enjoyable dining experience. This is something I've starting to expect at lower-priced, order-at-the-counter type places, but I have found Fish to be an ungracious mix of lower-priced restaurant mentality with a moderate to highly priced menu. So, when I order a $20 sandwich from the counter at Fish, and see the "" cash only "" with the cashier pointing to a $2.95- fee, tacky ATM machine in the corner, I'm feeling pretty ripped off. It's too bad, because the setting is great -- on the water in Sausalito. But, I'll forego it next time because there are other places to go where I feel accommodated, and don't start off my meal with a bad feeling. It's just not worth it.
