Businiess name:  New Moon Restaurant

Review content:
I am a frequent New Moon customer, a gourmet chef myself. New Moon is the only place in Montrose where I can get good quality food in a nice ambience (other places in La Canada-La Crescenta even favourite with locals are mediocre at most). They serve a light West Coast version of Chinese cuisine. The dishes are well prepared with light and flavourful sauces. It is not a cheep starch-filled food. I would recommend their soups: winter melon, chicken, vegetable - all are great. Fish and shrimp is fresh and tastfully served with asparagus, spinach, etc. Noodle entrees are delicious. They also serve variety of tasty vegetarian entrees, never overdone. Their soups cost about $5 a cup or $10 a big bowl, entrees go from $10 to $15. The choice of wine and beer is good, hard liquor is not served. The dining room is large and usually full, however, the turn around is fast and the wait is usually short. If you live in the area, this would be a great dinner place, casual and stylish at the same time. Pros: Quality foods, good service, nice ambience
