Review content:
I tried the Met on a Wednesday with one other person. The hostess was polite but said the only available table was a booth by the kitchen. Several ""better"" tables remained empty the entire course of our dinner -- a disappointment. To start, we ordered the tuna and salmon tartar, which was horrible; the tuna was not fresh and both items were overly saturated with mayonnaise. We did not eat it, and when we complained, the server was unapologetic, a manager never visited the table, and the appetizer remained on the check. My companion ordered the Rigotoni Bolognese (fair), and I had the Beef Tenderloin (good). The German Chocolate Cake was poor -- dry, over-iced, and cold! Service was also fair. Our server was omnipresent at the start, but disappeared after our complaints. Overall, this meal was a far cry from the quallity we deserved for the money we paid.
Pros: Ambiance, Valet Service, Food Presentation
Cons: Food Quality, Price, Detail of Service
