Review content:
It was only my 2nd time in LA, and my first down the strip. Friend and I were hanging in the city on a Saturday evening after attending a wedding the previous day in Long Beach. Wanted sushi, grabbed an open parking spot on the right side of the street. Take-Sushi just a few metres from the spot, looked all right.
Very cosy, warm atmosphere. I speak a bit of Japanese, and hit it off with ""mama-san"" manager. Beer was very very cold, perfect for a hot July.
We ordered basics - maguro sashimi, unagi, anago, sake, california roll, hamachi (or kampachi). All items were absoulutely first rate. The maguro sashimi, served on ice, was the best I have had (and I like my tuna). It was so creamy in texture, I had trouble believing it was maguro.
