Review content:
There are not many all vegetarian or vegan restaurants anywhere in Dallas, however, if you like Chinese food you can go to Suma Veggie. The atmosphere leaves something to be desired and the owner can rub you the wrong way as soon as you step through the door but the food is irresistible. I once saw him tell a customer to not sit at a 4 top because there was only 2 people and that they would have to sit at a two top table, mind you there was only 4 people total in the entire restaurant! With this being said, just try and find the kind of food that you get here anywhere else, IN THE STATE! I have eaten at most places in east, north, and south Texas and have yet to find a place that appalls me as much when I enter and yet makes me want to come back each week. Food is fresh and flavorful while also being unique. Also the hot and iced tea are great and included in the meager price. The only downside is that if you want your buffet to go, it is quite a bit more. I've only ordered off the menu once, but the real bargain is the buffet, which is 11-2 M-F and 12-3 Sat. I wish they would open Sunday seeing how the only other option is the poorly done Veggie Garden down the street. Suma has better food and service than most buffets and it's vegan/vegetarian to boot so give it a try. We can only hope that one day they will clean up the place!
Pros: Great food, good food, even better food.
Cons: Building is outdated by 100 years.
