Review content:
I used to always choose Ouisie?s when I wanted to have a great lunch. Lately, however, I have become increasingly disappointed in Ouisie's. The reasons I liked this restaurant were that I could enjoy a lunch with friends, get good service, good food, and enjoy the fact that the ambiance was conducive to conversation. Ouisie's was our favorite. Sadly, my last visit this past week will probably be my last visit. A friend took me there, her treat, to celebrate. I was embarrassed that my favorite lunch place served us each a sad little crab cob salad composed of one boiled egg, about a cup of undignified lettuce, and probably at most one third cup of crab that still had shell in it. We had plain iced tea and plain coffee for dessert. The price tag was over $50.00! With tip and the $3.00 valet charge, we went away without dessert (the waiter never asked us, we had to ask for bread too, and he never came by with a pepper mill) and she spent over $60.00 for a very mediocre lunch for the two of us. I was ashamed to have suggested the restaurant. I won't suggest it again! There are too many places in Houston where one can get a lovely meal and not feel somehow ""cheated.""
Pros: location
Cons: food, expense, service
