Review content:
I just hired these movers to exchange furniture between two apartments in the same building, one floor apart. I hired them for the minimum of 4 hours, including 1 hour travel time (even though the only traveling was actually getting to the building) They had said that they would start at 9AM and work to 12PM. When 9:20 came around, and no one had showed up, I called the office, and was told that because of the bad weather, they may be late, but that the clock wouldn't start until they got to me. At 9:30, they showed up, and when it approached noon, they said that they would leave at twelve, since they got there at 9:00. They didn't get to me until 9:30, and I told them that, but they said that they were in the building at 9, and supposedly couldn't get an elevator. I have FOUR elevators in my building, and it does not take 1/2 hour to get an elevator. Plus, they had my cell phone number, and could have called me if they had problems, but they didn't. So when they finished at 12:20, they had charged me for an extra half hour. I called the office to express my dissatisfaction, and they said that when the truck pulls up to the building, that is when the clock starts. So what they were telling me after the fact was that they could take their time parking, hang out in the lobby, grab a coffee, whatever, and I would have to pay for that time, because they had approached the building. I was told beforehand, that the clock wouldn't start until they got to me. So the story changed, and I had to pay for it. By the way, there was a huge scratch in the new hardwood floors leading up to the moved dresser after they left, and when i told them about it, they said the window to make a claim had passed and that there was nothing they would do about it.
