Review content:
The first time I went to Old Town Music, I was trying to find a good amplifier. I know more about guitar equipment than most people I've met working at music stores like this, and I spend my life researching and repairing. The people at Old Town Music were not interested in me and didn't know half as much as I did. So I went back a second time and wanted to know what kind of speakers were in one of their Fender cabs. The employee made me open up the cab (all 30-some screws) and didn't even know what kind of speaker was in it. So he said he'd call me when he found out from his boss, and I never got a call. So I called back to ask and they still never replied. Then my ""amp-freak"" friends said for me not to go there because they lie a lot and just try to look like they know what they're talking about. I decided to go back though because it's the only vintage guitar store in town. The employees again treated me like dirt and started pricing things to me much higher than they're worth. Then they asked if I was ready to make a purchase. WHAT THE HECK? Did they actually think I was going to buy something from them? Well they shouldn't have, and I never plan on going back there again. I trust eBay more than these losers.
Pros: Decent selection
Cons: AWFUL STAFF that overprices, doesn't know their products, makes customers do the work, and COMPLETELY devalues the customer
