I am a Toyota fan period, but not any more! I have owned Toyotas since the early 80's and never had a problem. That was until my very old Toyota Celica, (caringly maintained and loved) decided to give me the hint it was time to get something newer. With that many miles I was served well. \r
As many of you Toyota fans out there know that Toyota no longer makes the Celica (Shame). I had to decide between a Corolla or maybe even a Camry. This I found to be a hard choice, as I did indeed want a coupe to replace what I have had for so long.\r
I had looked at several options online and in parking lots and was already to make the visit to a local dealership, for me San Marcos Toyota was the better of the choices I had with either Austin or San Antonio it is right in the middle, and out of city traffic.\r
When I got there I noticed what looked like a 2 door coupe (a perfect fit for me) on the showroom could this be a revival of the Celica? Was this an illusion? Having not seen this car on the Toyota website I asked who makes this car. I was told that it was Scion, which was the next Heir to the Toyota brand, a brand I had never heard of but I was now quickly fading on the Idea of a Corolla or a Camry, (as the youthful feeling inside me was jumping around). I was trying not to show the salesperson. \r
The sales person was not your typical sales person; he seemed comfortable around me, answered all my questions and never once pressured me to buy the Scion tC. He said it was because he was confident that the price I saw was the price I would pay, as advertised. Simple! Before you knew it I was driving the tC off the lot, no not for a test drive but for keeps. It was mine and I never once felt I was been forced into the car. Great Job San Marcos Toyota & ""Scion"" you have made a keeper out of me. You were worth the 50 mile drive.\r
I still have my Celica and have no intensions of parting with it, ever.\r
