We used Pete Reid to do some excavation of our .75 acre homestead to remove some trees and clear out some dirt and bring it around to the front of the house. He quoted us $2500 for the job and suggested we go hourly instead, but we stated we didn't want to be surprised with a different bill at the end. He agreed to the flat rate, yet when the work was done presented us with an hourly bill of $9005! We are now having to go through litigation as we only paid him the agreed upon amount. We also had to hire another company to come back and fix the work he did as the house was flooding due to poor drainage and the ground was too uneven to seed with grass. We ended up spending another $3000 with that company to fix what he did. Watch out for this company. They are not trustworthy.
