Review content:
It is wild how time flies. Six months ago today, I hobbled through the doors of CrossFit FX TX. I was scared out of my mind. Bad health has took a toll on my body and I did not know how to get out of it. The years of Chinese buffet and food coma put me a few heartbeats away from a heart attack. What a sorry excuse for a human being , rotting and collecting dust like an antique furniture. Mike and Trish Armstrong, the most amazing friends ever would not shut up about CrossFit. Every time we would get together with them that is all they would talk about, to the point of annoyance. They have been going to CrossFit for six months, when I walked my ass through the door. August 15th 2011 I marched my cute chubby ass into CrossFit, and I met the most amazing group of people. I loved the sign at the front door that said ""leave your ego at the door"". I went in there wanting to loose weight, and then realized I am there for the wrong reasons. My body was sore non stop for the first month. I worked my ass of and ran a 5k on new years eve day. At the age of 43, I know I can kick my 23 year old self's ass without breaking a sweat. I lost 35lbs and 3 jeans sizes that I hope I will never see again. Rest assure, I am still searching for the allusive six packs. I feel good, I think I look good (debatable) and I have more confidence (very nauseating).
I can honestly say that I am in the best shape of my life, but I want to be in even better shape.
I want to thank the CrossFit FX TX staff and specially coach G and the 6pm class of misfits for the continuance laughs :)
