So two friends and I hopped in right before the big rush on Cinco de Mayo. This southwestern hot spot just did that. Flavor pairings were very creative... shrimp tacos with corn and asparagus. Not only did they offer free margaritas but also free tequila shots for the occasion. They were quite packed given the night however they still delivered. Prices were a little high and portions a little small. Their ""hand hacked"" guacamole was amazing but they could have offered a slightly larger portion. We all ordered tacos as they were in the 15-17 dollar range, however my friend received two while everyone else received three tacos we confronted the waitress. Not only did she explain the methodology to their portions but offered us more food from the menu. We ended up sharing and having enough food but the wait staff was quite accommodating for such a busy night. The live band was great and the huge open windows is an astoria essential. Pros: Accomodating, friendly staff, amazing food Cons: prices, portions
