Review content:
I have been the owner of the same Collision Center in Baltimore for the past 27 years. In response to some door to door marketing they did, I recently used Stars and Cracks to perform a back glass install on one of my customers' late model cars, and they severely botched the job. What's worse, the ""technician"" who performed the work was part of the ownership circle, and they refused to return to resolve the problem. When the work was complete, the ""technician"" left a wide piece of tape around the perimeter of the glass, which was not to be removed until the following day (after my check had been deposited). Once removed, the poor workmanship was evident, where the new perimeter moulding had been improperly installed and was coming off. After several phone calls, and a 2 day hide-and-seek runaround game, the helper at their location who took my final call stated that ""I agree this company is being run poorly, but I can't do anything about it, and that shouldn't be a reflection on me"". He also said that ""this here is a small company and we can't affords to come out and do work for free like the big companies"". After the refusal, I was forced to hire and pay another glass company (ABC Glass) to correct the work, who did so quickly, properly, and for half the price. They laughed in disgust when they saw the job, and confirmed that the installation was faulty and improper. There have been no details of substantive nature which have been omitted here for the sake of brevity; or any, which mitigate their position. Long story short: AVOID THIS COMPANY!
Pros: There are others who do this type of work.
