Long time customer. But n longer. No customer service. Place seems to change owners every 2 - 3 years. Never the same workers. Very cheap outfit Sometimes they dont even have any computers to record your info. No tv's to relax with some timess bathroom is broken for months on end.
This was a corporate chain but no longer. So no way to get anything resolved so be ware. They quoted me be to install a muffler I had for $140 cause the pipes were off alignment. Then I noticed they were clamped and step on the assembly and they moved. They said sorry we didnt notice that so quoted me $80 since I didn't need new pips as they could be adjusted or moved.
Place was totally dead too. Mechanic was sitting in front doing nothing.
Felt a little ripped of there. So came back later and let them do it for $80 and told the young kid money was an issue..So left it at 4:40 pm Then the next day only maybe 2 business hours passed. 10:00 am He called said $120 now. So I went in and complained after talking to a mechanic buddy of mine that they didn't keep the quote or call me when they noticed
Told me he needed to use an extra small piece of pipe / adapter and use a very small tail pipe hanger ($5 part if that ( which should been included. Came back and paid the bill since I was blacked mailed or I couldn't get my car. Then noticed the tail pipes were way off from each other. He didn't want to look or care.
Then said well cause you got it cheaper. $20 off the quote But he took $40 off originally cause he could use my tail pipes. So now all he had was labor and let got no quality. If you cant do the job right dont do it. If you charge someone more better do it right then. 33% higher then quote. Only labor in a dead shop needing business. Muffler shop dead on a Friday then even a Saturday.
Me and my family been going to this place for over 6 - 8 years. Never had this before. I even work on cars but having exhaust done with a place that has all the equipment makes it easier. There is no corporate office to call to anymore. So what ever the little shop work wants to do your stuck. Funny they were dead again with his mechanic sitting up front again. Unprofessional and no customer service. He knew price was an issue from day one.
I could have gotten a new complete muffler and installed for little over $100 at Auto Klinic in Calumet City . Just didnt want to spent the time going back and forth as USA is only blocks from me . But ill see Frank at the Klink more as he always treats me right.
So even called the other stores but they cant help much. The Valpo store says no problem bring it in and they will make it right no charge.
Feeling ripped off and blacked mailed by my own shop.
Pros: Very Close By Used to be Ressonable Prices
Cons: Changing owners and personal often. No corporate office.
