Businiess name:  Terry Moving

Review content:
I just spent over $5,000.00 to do a move with Terry Moving Company. They put a huge dent in my almost new stainless steel refrigerator and admitted that it was their fault due to leaning up my table against it. The mover stated that it would not be a problem to fix and simply let the owner, Mark Terry know and he will send a claim form and fix it. It took Mark a long time to finally respond with an answer and he stated that their insurance company would only pay for $120.00 on a $2,000 some item!! Mark stated that I could call his insurance company and see if they would pay for more. He would not budge by paying the remaining amount out of pocket. I have never heard of such a thing with a large company. He is incorporated and has many locations. How does Mark explain these business practices?? I have never heard of a person having to buy their own insurance to protect their items that another company is responsible for in moving them. Due to their negligence, they should pay out of pocket. I will now have to take some time out of my busy schedule to take them to court. They also damaged my almost brand new dining room chair and end table. The movers must have been pretty clumsy with placing my nice furniture on their truck. I think I would have been better off paying a lot less with hiring the Starving Students Moving company. I think they would at least be more careful with my items and have better customer service, and pay for damages that they admit to doing!!!! At least I proof in writing that Terry Movers admit to the damages being their fault! I would highly recommend that one doesn't use them!!! I should have listened to the families complaining on Ripoffreport.com.
