If I could give this place 0 stars I would!
We live on the north-side and normally take our little dog to one over here ,but we happened to be on the south-side and said well why not. So we came to this one to get his nails cut.
When we came in I said that I needed his nails cut and the guy didn't even look at me just started writing the bill up on the computer. My Dog usually get a tiny nervous when we take him in so when he peed on the Floor.
My boyfriends mother then asked the guy if he had a paper-towel to clean it up. He didn't even look at her just smashes it into her hand. Of coarse that wasn't enough so she says ""do you have any more?"" and he says ""NO, I do not your going have to go out into the store and find it yourself"" Which I thought was rude.
When it comes time to hand over my little Oscar to the guy he yanks his leash out of my hand does say ""here"" or anything polite.
Gets Oscar on the Table and this is where it gets bad.
Every-time we've ever taken him the person cutting his nails usually talks to him nicely pets him and then starts cutting his nails: That is the proper way. Oscar never struggles or gets scared.
The guy puts him on the table and instead of putting his arm under his belly and doing each paw, he stands him on the table on his back legs with a collar around his neck standing him up, I'm thinking where the hell did you learn to cut nails that is not how you cut them.
Next thing I hear is my dog yelping crying and squirming because the guy Cuts oscars poor paws down past where the quick is (vein inside of a dogs nails)
At this point oscar is terrified and keeps squirming and yelping I then physically see the guy slap him and yell ""shut up"" TO MY DOG!
I'm pissed so I say ""EXCUSE ME!"" only to be ignored!
The guy then proceeds to cut my dogs nails past the nerve on every single nail and ignores me every-time I say something and tells me dog to shut up three more times. My dog almost fell off the table 3 times which with that leash they put around his neck could have killed him.
Oscar was so scared he pooped on the guy and the guy says ""I'm so tired of these f***ing dogs"".
Hey pet-smart how about a tip! DON'T HIRE GUYS THAT DON'T LIKE ANIMALS!
My dog is now going to be terrified to go and get his nails cut and he can barley walk around now because his paws are so tender!
