Review content:
I live in Spokane and have bought & sold coins & precious metals for years and have had a great & loyal commitment to a Spokane dealer but through a series of events I went with a friend from the area to sell some coins & gold to Coinuts. We received a check. When we went to the bank it was written on, they said they could not cash it due to insufficient funds. We called Coinuts & he assured us it would clear. We went to our bank who notified us they would cash the check but would hold funds for 10 days as they have seen dozens of his checks bounce. Well, you got it. It bounced and the nightmare began. We have since met numerous people in CDA area with the same story. We had to call and go back countless times & finally ended up taking back some gold coins that were worth less than the check amount. We contacted the county prosecutors office who couldn't help us because it was a civil case BUT they were quite familiar with Coinuts reputation for bad checks and stated they would like to see them shut down. They were familiar with countless legal actions taken against them including handicapped people, doctors, elderly ladies, doctors and even attorneys who have had to go after them. THEY ALSO WARNED OF PEOPLE WHO AID FOR GOLD OR SILVER AND NEVER RECEIVED THE PRODUCT!!! This is a seriously problem and the other criminal act is the CDA legal system for allowing this behavior to continue. The BBB has also heard numerous complaints. DO NOT TAKE A CHECK or BUY ANYTHING WITHOUT WALKING OUT OF THE STORE WITH IT IN YOUR HANDS FROM Coinuts. It's ironic they call themselves Coinuts. If anyone cares, I have worked with all of the dealers in Spokane and Coinsplus has always exceeded our and countless collectors & friends expectations. Mike A Pros: Cant think of one Cons: Bad Check Capital of America
