Review content:
I grew up in this church from its founding to my moving to Georgia. I say, if you want a church where people get together to help one another through pregnancy, death, heart ache, divorce, the loss of a child, a hospitalization, or wayward children, this is the church for you. The members of this church helped my mom raise me and I will always call it my home away from home. If you go there and don't know anybody, I can guarantee that by the time the first song is done, you will know the entire family history of at least 2 families. And they'll know the same of you. These people are trustworthy and in a time that most people turn their backs on you, they will be there with hugs, casseroles, and even a place to stay. The Pastor, Bruce Patterson, is an old family friend. His daughters are 2 great ladies. One was my brother's teacher and she helped him anytime he needed it, in school or out. There are veterans that proudly served, senior citizens that will tell you all about the good old days if you ask, newly weds that are so in love with one another, and families of huge and small numbers, and endless love abounds. There's a nursery that makes you wish you were a babe again, and sunday school classes for all ages. And when its summer time, they get together to make the best Vacation Bible School the world has ever seen. I accepted Christ there, but alas! was not baptised there. You could leave your child there and know that no matter what, the adults there would do everything within their power to keep them safe until you return. Friendships are easily forged and hard to break. They stay by your side through the good and the bad, the pretty and ugly, the mistakes and the regrets, the happy and sad and everything in between. They are continually sharing Christ's work with the world and funding missionaries around the world. But if I had to describe Northside Baptist Church in one word, I couldn't. Because there is no one word in the world to describe such a place. Pros: Friends, Family, Good food Cons: Don't go in the kitchen at the Suppers! Stay in the Dining Hall!
