Review content:
My credit monitoring site notifies me Data Search has added a collections account. I call Data Search. No collections at my current, 9 year address or my previous address of 15 years.
My monitoring site updates, this time with an account number. i call Data Search again. Data Search has not just the one my monitoring site specified which was added recently, but one from 2004 - that's right, 5 years old - at the old address i gave during my first phone call. As far as i can tell, Data Search has had this for 5 years and taken no action. And during the first phone call they couldn't look me up by name and address, although the previous address that i gave them was the one in the account when i called the second time. More importantly, a 5 year old account with no action that i know of; if your income depended on this level of service would you hire them?
Pros: None that i encountered
Cons: ineffective collections for both parties
