Review content:
Have made a few trips to the Paramount Cafe and have found it unsatisfactory each time. The sandwiches are typically bland and room temperature. (Regardless of whether you order hot or cold dishes). Sweet potato fries are good, but not worth the trip.
While the waitstaff is generally good, the bartenders are hard to catch and snotty. When inquiring about the margaritas one night, we were told, ""I wouldn't know -- *I* don't drink tequila."" That, perhaps, should have been the first sign. A drink later (Long Island Iced Tea (bad) and a Margarita (infinitely worse; all sugar and mix, no liquor)), we both felt sick and decided it was time to leave.
Yes, it is inexpensive, but there's a very good reason for that. If you're looking for a happy hour stop, go right next door to the Appaloosa Grill for the same deals and much, much better food and service.
Pros: Nice location, good waitstaff, decent happy hour
Cons: Drinks make you sick, food is lackluster, bartenders bad
