Review content:
We returned to the restaurant with friends last evening. We were excited as we had been regular customers for many, many years. The decor is fabulous. The food and service were superb. But...the noise level was so bad, we could not even hear each other in a booth with high sides. The bus boys slammed the dishes in the containers, dropped plates at the clean-up stations, and there are no carpets or buffers for the hard floors and high ceilings. In addition, the warm sour-dough rolls are gone, replaced by very, very salty white bread ""muffins"" or something like Wonder bread in a roll form. The waitress explained that the cost of the old rolls became prohibitive. Lame excuse. Charge for them or, since prices were already increased at the remodeled cafe, why didn't they take this cost into consideration. We'll find another neighborhood place.
