It would have been wonderful to find a lil place of heaven to remind you of home out here in La La Land - but this is not the place. Perhaps this establishment was started to give the locals here an idea of bbq'd meat just as famous as St. Louis and Memphis? Whatever the reason the owner or whomever is the ""Texan"" associated with this establishment - he/she/it might want to take a long visit back home and practice! I have never had brisket so tough; by the time you try the 3rd or 4th slice it starts to get more tender, but not by much. I was also surprised how far one can take sugar - apparently it's used here quite a bit mask the lack of taste in everything from the cole slaw to their sauce. Our waitress assured us that the only item not made in-house was the potato salad - well, I don't know where they make that purchase, but that was the only item worth eating! Perhaps that outside source could provide a decent menu @ $20 a plate while the ""Texan"" is getting some schooling back home! Pros: Dive ambience Cons: Food, disappearing waitresses once you are served, price
