Review content:
The term ""shadetree mechanic"" takes on a whole new meaning at this auto repair shop. I had to take my car back FOUR (4) times because each time I left I noticed a new defect upon leaving DOC's. Mechanic Tony, who was fired recently for shoddy workmanship, only replaced 1 out 2 valve cover gaskets I paid for. When I left this time the car sputtered wildly upon acceleration and was completely off. The mechanic had previously bragged that no one had ever brought back a car on him. True or not, I took the car back, supposedly had it fixed, and this time they tried to give me the car after they drained the battery. I turned the car off and immediately tried to start it to no avail. I guess they were hoping I would go home, try to start it later, and find out the battery was gone. I asked the owner, Doc, how my battery got drained and he replied, ""I think they left the hood open"". I am not a genius but even I know that would not empty my battery out of power. I found out from the owner, a real doctor by trade (anesthesiologist), that he has been ripped off repeatedly by employees who used his machinery and capital to moonlight and make side deals for profit. Doc is a nice man, but readily admits that he knows nothing about cars or how to run a business. After losing an estimated $55,000 to in house thieves I asked him if he does reference checks. His candid response was ""no"".
LET ME SAY THIS CLEARLY, DO NOT GO TO THIS AUTO REPAIR SHOP BECAUSE THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING IN ANY WAY WHATSOEVER!
