I had $44,000 in hail damage last fall. In order to get an insurance claim going Mr. Bruce Gates had me sign a contract allowing him to represent us in the insurance claim. Apparently there is a 3 day recision date on his contracts and if you decline his services at any time beyond said date he will go after you for 15% of your insurance claim. Even though Mr. Gates provided no services beyond meeting with us. No money and/or down payments were exchanged and no materials were chosen or delivered he is attempting to litigate us for $6602.28 of our insurance claim. It was Mr. Gates who choose not meet with us for two weeks after we signed the paperwork . He made sure we were well past the apparent recision date. I think Mr. Gates felt as long as the recision period was over he no longer had to earn our business. He showed up late, did not bring requested samples, was arguementative and combative with us. We couldn't wait for him to leave our property. On recommendation from our insurance company we found a new contractor to do the job. Mr. Gates did not take the news well and had a collection lawyer serve us papers via certified mail. DO NOT USE GATES ROOFING or MR. Bruce Gates.
